Optimus was formed in the UK in October 2003 by a small group of people who are passionate about making a difference. Because we care. Between us we had expertise in oil & gas, HSE and behavioural change. We wanted to do something very different as we’d all experienced what hadn’t worked! We knew that if we always did what had always been done, we’d always get what we’d always got!

We’ve grown somewhat since then. Optimus now comprises a central office in Aberdeen with three main regional Business Units covering all continents. We are well on our way to establishing a global footprint, having opened four regional offices during 2009.

Our predominant market is upstream and downstream oil & gas, although we also work in construction, mining, utilities, government and manufacturing. We have taken behavioural change innovations derived from organisational and clinical psychology into harsh environments, found what really works, and brought the learning back for use in other organisations.
