Creating a Better Future
A second environmental awareness programme that focuses on personal responsibility for environmental care.
Participants look at how they can personally influence climate change, pollution, waste, biodiversity, etc through their own actions, both at home and at work, and are introduced to new ideas about sustainable living and working.
Using the Psychology of Ecology, participants look at what influences their behaviours. We investigate pervasive marketing strategies and ask “What do we really want” and “How can we really enhance our future”. The programme puts participants in the driving seat of change within their organisation.
Focusing on sustainability naturally involves participants in two core activities: examining business processes to gain improvement in efficiencies (and personal choice when looking at energy efficiency at home), and innovating to improve the way business is conducted.
By the end of the programme, enough (personal) energy is generated to see the current environmental crisis as an opportunity to ‘do things better’, and provide the motivation for improving an organisation’s green credentials through ‘doing the right thing’. Changing profit-focused business thinking to sustainable thinking can enhance the bottom line rather than be a net cost to the organisation.
